Historique de la Charteuse de Valbonne
Set in the heart of a magnificent thousand-year-old forest, the Chartreuse de Valbonne, historic monument dating from the 13th century , is located between the gorges of the Ardeche and the Ceze river valley. The site offers, in an exceptional environment, hotel-seminar services, concerts, and a complete range of Cotes du Rhone wines.
A nationally recognized non-profit association now manages this monastery, which has always had a calling for hospitality, solidarity and sharing. |
Le vignoble de la Chartreuse de Valbonne
The vineyards are located on soils dating from the end of the lower cretaceous to the upper cretaceous periods. On an impervious marly layer are found prevalently various types of soil, but always sandy.
The vineyards of Valbonne are part of the appellation Cotes du Rhone and Cotes du Rhone Villages. |
